LAFAYETTE — Hildred Louise (Grandstaff) Dobbels, 86, 3918 Ginkgo Court, Lafayette, died at 8:15 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2006 at her residence. She was born Jan. 10, 1920 in Veedersburg, the daughter of Henry M. and Nellie (Carney) 7. Grandstaff. She married Joseph Francis Dobbels April 8, 1944 in West Lebanon. He preceded in death July 23, 1984. She was raised and educated in Veedersburg. She had resided in Lafayette for the past 14 years. She formerly worked at Radio Material Corp. in Attica and for several years worked at Harrison Steel Castings Company in Attica until her retirement in 1982. She enjoyed crocheting, embroidering and reading. She lived for her kids and grandchildren. She was a great cook and pie baker. Survivors include: two daughters, Matilda Davidson and Henrietta (Edward) Gick, both of Lafayette; a son, Terry (Sandra) Dobbels, Attica; a sister Clara Dean Bowman, Crawfordsville; 19 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, ……..arlena Kay Smart and seven brothers and sisters. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Saturday in Maus Funeral Home, Attica, with Pastor Kate Walker officiating. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery, Attica.
